Who We Are
Broadstreet HEOR is proudly an independent, women-owned consultancy, established on a bedrock of epidemiology and health economics experience, and infused with a determination to service client needs above expectations.
With 15+ years of experience in epidemiology and health outcomes, Shelagh Szabo and Karissa Johnston founded Broadstreet HEOR in 2015 to fill a need gap within the healthcare industry of providing these specialized services in a non-bureaucratic manner that puts the client at the center.
Their vision was to build a nurturing environment of collaboration and positive values, where teams can conduct rigorous science to solve important questions in healthcare, always putting the client first.
The growing Broadstreet HEOR family is committed to a values-based work ethic, allowing the original vision to grow and thrive.

Senior Team Members
A Multi-disciplinary Approach
Behind every project is a wide bench of experts that bring their skill sets and passion to create great work.
Although Broadstreet is a young company, our team members bring decades of academic knowledge and hands-on commercial experience in their respective fields.
Small Business Values
We like to say that our culture is grounded in “small business values.”
Spirit of Collaboration
We work collaboratively within our teams, with external partners and with our clients.
We work well with others, and prefer to conduct business on human terms, not term sheets.
We value our client relationships, and care about our projects.
The client is at the center of everything we do, and we enjoy working alongside clients as an extension of their team.
Our work with clients often feels more like a partnership than a traditional service delivery relationship. We have end-to-end involvement in a project, beginning with the strategic planning that leads to the scope of work grounded in building visualizations and models.
We proactively identify and address gaps or surprises along the way
We aren’t afraid to pivot when the evidence points in a different direction.
Our clients trust we will deliver against our scope – even if the plan ultimately veers a bit from the original blueprint.
